I have been an ISSP Guardian since 2014, and in 2016, I took a Masters in Healthy Ageing: both gave me tools to help refugees with their traumas and enhance integration by supporting them in a way that they can find their own resilience.

As a director of the Didar Foundation, I organize meetings and training about intercultural communication and improving this for professionals that work with refugees and migrants.

My brother – who has been executed in Iran in 1981 because of his political activity against the government – has been a big influence in my life and he always said to me: “Just over the core of fear you will meet your freedom.”
