Meditation and Mindfulness
Meditation is a soft, integrated and effective means to decrease stress and to quieten the mind. It is also effective to bring healing on all levels, and to open a deeper connection to the source of who we are.
Benefits of meditation can be found on all levels, physical, psychological and spiritual. Dominant among these are an increased clarity, sense of well-being, freedom from fear and happiness and fulfilment in life.
Meditation Methods
ISSP Meditations come in a wide variety, with a golden emphasis on the individuals freedom to move inside in the manner most appropriate and effective to them in any moment.
During the ISSP education, students learn to open their sensitivity to energy fields, through working with balancing and integration through energy points, chakras and energy flows in and around the body.
Approaches
At ISSP its important the students feel comfortable and that they are able to move to a depth of relaxation. That means that meditation can be done lying down, sitting, or in the lotus position, according to choice. Comfort and individual need and direction is prioritised over pedagogy. However, meditational structures are given in order to encourage inner opening, movement, balance, experience and transformation.
A key in meditation is found in the layer of attitude. ISSP students are encouraged to move with an attitude of allowance, curiosity, service and softness in the exploration of the inner world as well as in the application of healing techniques.
